Quick Start Set-up Guide MVP Multi-judge Panel iScore
The EliteFLEX Client Private Score Entry application allows multi-judge gymnastics event scoring (2 Judges or 4 Judges) with score entry from each individual judge in a discrete and secure manner. Unlike the basic score entry for Elitescore where multi-judge scores are entered into a single iPad by one person (tabulator or Head judge), private score entry must be done by each judge who send their scores to the Head Judge for a given event, however, the Head Judge has no visibility of the other judges scores until he/she enters and declares their score.
Scores cannot be altered by Head Judge although all scores can be REJECTED if the Head Judge deems scores out of range or inconsistent with the declared start value for a routine. Private score entry is best enforced when the judges DO NOT share a common score table so no score collaboration (“peeking”) is possible.

Architecture for Private Scoring Four (4) Judge Panel per Event
Womens Gymnastics System Setup
Head Judge Scoring Computer needed for each Event (Vault, Bars, Beam, and Floor)
- Install EliteFLEX Client Private Score Entry Multi-Judge Panel v 2.1.1.1 Recommend this path for setup: c:Elite Technology
- Connect Computer’s Wi-Fi to FLEX Network (WEP security key 6b7b730224) is default for existing customers not using Private Score Entry)
- Set each Head Judge Scoring Computer to the Central Scoring Computer’s IP address (typically 192.168.127.100). Make sure Vault, Bar, Beam, and Floor Head Judge Computers all have the Central Scoring Computers assigned static IP address.
- By placing all four (4) Head Judge Laptops on the Wi-Fi network, they will be given an IP address which will be target IP address for Judge 2, 3, and 4 iScore devices for that event
- Set Judge 2, 3, & 4 iPads IP address to the same IP address given to the Head Judge Laptop by the router. Use a command prompt with the command, ipconfig to find the IP address listed for Ethernet Adapter Wireless connected Head Judge laptops.
- Optionally, you can assign a static IP address for each Head Judge laptop using the Router’s set-up Wizard . Each event laptop must have a different IP address. These assigned IP addresses must be entered into the three (3) iPods/iPads/iPhones which are to send scores to each events Head Judge laptop. Suggest following IP address reservations for the Head Judge laptops:
- To connect the iPods/iPads/iPhones for Judge 2,3,4 Score Entry to their Event Head Judge laptop, use Apple Accounts to establish User Name and Password. Remember the mPro IP address is the Events laptops assigned IP address. Repeat For all iScore devices and Head Judge Event laptops. Note: some meets may only use two (2) judges per event requiring a change the Judges settings.
- With iPods/iPad/iPhone connected to main SSID Wi-Fi network and set with mPro address for its associated Head Judge Laptop IP address plus a valid User Name and Password in Apple Accounts you can press “Log On” which will bring you to the key pad screen used for score entry and event “Setup” settings.
Each Events Judge 2, 3, 4 iScore device must be set as follows:
- Set “Number of Judges” to One
- Set “Meet Type” to Womens
- Event wheel to correct event (Vault, Bars, Beam, or Floor for Women)
- Scores set to One ( this is number of routines judged per event)
- Repeat for Bars, Beam, and Floor iScore devices.
- Remember each iScore device must first be connected to the main scoring Wi-Fi SSID network using >Settings< menu on the iScore device.
Operating Multi-Judge Private Score Entry
- Make certain correct event is selected and locked on each of the Head Judge 1 laptops. You can place cursor over correct event and right click to lock in.
- Make certain number of Event Judges is correct (2 or 4)
- Head Judge must first entry the competitor number just before the start of the routine. Simply key in Gymnast ID and “Enter”. The other panel judges 2, 3, and 4 will get a GYMNAST NOT FOUND error message on their iPad if the Head Judge 1 has not entered in the Gymnast ID and their score will not be sent.
- At the completion of the routine and once scores are calculated, each Judge can send their score. As you will see in example below, not before the Head Judge 1 enters their score will Judge 2, 3, & 4 scores be displayed. They will arrive but be displayed as X.XX until Head Judge enters their score.
- Only the Head Judge 1 will enter neutral deductions, if any.
- Once all four scores have been received, the program will disregard the high and low scores and average the two middle scores minus any neutral deduction.
- The Head Judge 1 may elect to Accept the scores which will then be sent to the central scoring computer and on to TV/Monitor displays. The Head Judge 1 can Reject the scores if they are out of range and/or problem is detected with start value. In these situations a consultation will be held and all judges must renter the revised scores.
- The Head Judge 1 cannot change Judge 2, 3, or 4 scores. They can only modify/change the Neutral Deduction they entered.
The following screen shots depict score entry example for a Vault for competitor 1005
Head Judge 1 score is 9.00 minus a .1 neutral deduction
Judge 2 score is 8.75
Judge 3 score is 8.75
Judge 4 score is 8.50
The correct score by USAG code of points is 8.75 average - .1 ND = 8.65 Final Score Follow this example below in the screen shots.
Follow this example below in the screen shots.
At this point, Head Judge 1 has not yet clicked “Enter Score” as the Judge 2, 3, and 4 scores are still masked with the X.XX. Below screen shot shows all scores revealed once Head Judge declares their score by clicking “Enter Score”.
Head Judge may now select Accept or Reject. “Accept” sends scores to Central Scoring Computer and they arrive into EliteFLEX MPRO as shown below:
To follow is another example, this time for a two (2) judge panel for the Bars Event. The two scores are 9.25 and 9.00 for gymnast 1006. Average score is 9.125.
MUST READ - IMPORTANT PRECAUTIONS FOR NETWORK CONNECTIVITY WITH APPLE DEVICES
- Important that all Apple devices are configured to “Forget” all Wi-Fi networks you have previously been connected to. Common for an Apple device to connect to another Wi-Fi network for which it retains a password.
Use > Wi-Fi> > Select Blue information icon to Forget this network at top of screen.
- Set all your Apple devices to NOT go to sleep as the Auto-Lock feature will require constant swipes to renter the scoring application and can potentially knock you off the network.
Access Auto Lock by going to >General>>Auto-Lock>> check Never
Multi-judge Private Score Entry can be used with the MDX family of LED display scoreboards and/or the MVP™ Pi Wi-Fi to HDMI Adapters to display scores on TV/Monitors or HD projectors with HDMI inputs. ScoreKeeper’s native support for interfaces to large arena scoreboards can also be used. Please see the appropriate Quick Start Set-up Guides for these various score display options.
