-
First install Pro Score and/or Score Master on your new computer Make sure the path is c:Pro Score and/or c:smwin DO NOT install in Program files any longer. Make sure you change the path as Score Master will direct the install to Program Files as the default location unless you intervene and change.
You can download Score Master from www.score-master.com and activate with your license key when you purchased.
You can download Pro Score from www.aegroup.com and activate with your license key when you purchased.
-
Second, go to Microsoft’s website and download SQL Express 2008. IMPORTANT NOTE: EliteFLEX MPRO uses a SQL database and Windows 7 or 8, 64 bit machines will NOT work with SQL Express 2005. Here is the link to download SQL Express 2008.
You’ll need to make sure it is the 64 bit version you are downloading.
If .NET framework tools were not supplied on the Windows 7, 64 bit machine, they will automatically load when you go to the Microsoft website as a standard update to the operating system. Make sure you allow all updates to load.
- Pro Score Users ONLY: install Nexus ODBC driver per the attached instructions.
-
Next, install the EliteFLEX MPRO set-up program you were e-mailed with an attached .zip folder.
You will need to right click and Extract All to open the .zip attachment. When you run the install package, make sure the install path is C:Elite Technology. At the start of this install you will be asked to select which scoring program you will be using or your primary if you plan to use both. If Pro Score, select Pro Score radio button. Once installed, EliteFLEX MPRO will attach to the Pro Score Meet which is selected and the meet name will be shown in EliteFLEX MPRO title banner. If you are only going to run Score Master, select the Score Master Radio button as you begin the install. Once EliteFLEX MPRO is installed, you may have to Browse to the Score Master folder and find the .ini file. EliteFLEX MPRO will attach to Score Master and the Default Meet selected in Score Master will be shown in EliteFLEX MPRO title banner. See Quick Tip Start Up Guide
- Finally, install the EliteFLEX Client software which is an application that allows you to do Manual Score Input from your scoring computer. Again, make sure the install path is c:/Elite Technology. This application setup only requires you give it the computers IP address (192.168.127.100) or merely use “localhost”. See the Quick Tip Start Up Guide for screen shots.
- To communicate over Wi-Fi to/from your Scoreboard and Palm Pilots/iPods, the scoring system uses a NetGear Wireless Router. For new computer upgrades, you must configure the Router to work with your new computer. If you are using the existing Router, you must do a new Address Reservation under LAN Setup in the NetGear Setup Wizard. (from the computers IE browser www.routerlogin.net) This address matches the addresses configured in your Palm Pilots/iPods. Factory default was 192.168.127.100. The Scoreboard default IP address is 192.168.127.254 which is setup in EliteFLEX MPRO under >>Scoreboard>>Setup. See the Quick Tip Start Up Guide for screen shots and instructions. Call Factory if you have problems with Router set-up.
General Operating Procedure for EliteFLEX MPRO
If both Pro Score and Score Master are properly loaded on the same scoring computer, you can switch to the other scoring program by going to File/Setup in EliteFLEX MPRO and changing program selection. However, in order for this switch to take place and the new designated scoring program to work properly, you must shut down EliteFLEX MPRO and restart.
